Brad Pitt appears as the war-hardened commander of a US Sherman tank crew in the first trailer for forthcoming World War Two movie Fury.

The 50-year-old Hollywood star shows Pitt's character - known as "Wardaddy" to his crew - predicting more bloodshed as the end of the conflict looms.

"You think it can't get worse. It can and it will," he warns his men. "The dying's not done, the killing's not done."

And after an interlude of action scenes, he continues: "I started this war killing Germans in Africa, now I'm killing Germans in Germany."

Speaking to Logan Lerman's young character, he says ominously: "I won't ask you to do anything I haven't done myself."

And the grey-toned trailer also offers a glimpse of co-star Shia LaBeouf - who has had an eventful week.

Looking haunted and unwell, he tells Lerman's soldier: "Wait til you see it."

And when asked "what", he replies: "What a man can do to another man."

The movie is set for release on 24 October in the UK.
