Bradley Cooper 'To Play Elephant Man On Stage'
Movie star reportedly set to play deformed man on Broadway...
It might not be the most obvious bit of casting, but Bradley Cooperis reported to be playing the lead role in a Broadway revival of Entertainment Weeklyto be returning to the New York stage after an eight-year spell in Tinseltown.
And he obviously likes a challenge, because EW reports that he intends to tackle the role "without the aid of makeup or prosthetics" - instead using physicality to imply the deformity of the central character Joseph Merrick.
The play won a Tony award in 1979 and inspired David Lynch's famous movie version starring John Hurt.
B-Coop's last Broadway gig was 2006's Three Days of Rain with Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd - for which he got great reviews.
