Indie rockers Mona have been voted as winners of BlackBerry Presents MTV’s Brand New for 2011, taking the crown from last year's title holder Justin Bieber.
The Nashville, Tennessee based four-piece, who play 'romantic rock'n'roll' and have drawn comparisons to Kings Of Leon and The Strokes, polled an impressive 35% of the vote.
Nick Brown, Mona's frontman said, “We’d like to thank our fans for voting for us - we really appreciate it.”
Do It Like A Dude star Jessie J came second, while LA's Far East Movement will no doubt be partying on their G6 after scoring a very respectable third place.
Willow Smith and Clare Maguire made up the rest of the top 5, while the other nominees to make it into the top 10 were Wretch 32, Labrinth, Ruff Diamondz, The Vaccines and Jamie Woon.
