We received over 150,000 votes in total making this year one of the most hotly contested Brand New campaigns ever.
Here's a full rundown of this year's voting results:
1. Conor Maynard
The U.S. may have Justin Bieber, however 19 year old Brighton resident Conor Maynard may be the world’s next big teen star. With close to 30,000 twitter followers already and over 3 million views on his YouTube Channel, 2012 could well be Conor’s year.
2. King Charles
King Charles is an extraordinary man. He doesn't look like anyone you know, he doesn't think like anyone you know and he doesn't make music like anyone you know, drawing diverse influences from Afro-beat, rock and roll, glam, folk, hip-hop and country.
3. Lana Del Rey
Describing herself as the "gangsta Nancy Sinatra" and her music as Hollywood Sadcore, Lana’s self made videos have already caused a stir. Just as her D.I.Y promo for ‘Video Games’ got 500,000 hits it was banned. Bad girl Ms Del Rey has truly set the scene.
4. Clement Marfo & The Frontline
Clement Marfo & The Frontline are a seven-piece diverse collective from South London led by the charismatic Clement. Born to Ghanaian parents and raised in Kingston, South London, Clement has become a phenomenon in the underground British grime scene.
Sirach Charles, better known as Angel, is what the music industry would indelibly mark as a triple threat. Singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer, 22 year old Angel is quite possibly the UK Pop and R & B industry’s best kept secret.
Delilah, a 20 year-old North Londoner (AKA Paloma Stoeker), has grown up with music in her blood. Her parents were entrenched in the UK soul and urban scene throughout the 90s and it wasn’t long before Delilah was composing self-penned tunes on her piano.
7. Charli XCX
If you don't know Charli XCX yet, you will soon. The teenage prodigy's about to explode into 2012. Armed with a rampant imagination, a plethora of dark, emotive pop songs, and backed by an army of top producers Charli is not your run-of-the-mill musician.
8. Michael Kiwanuka
Growing up in North London, Michael struggled at times to see where he fitted in. He liked bands like Nirvana, Radiohead and Offspring, but it was only when he discovered that Jimi Hendrix was black that he understood he had a place playing rock guitar.
9. Lianne La Havas
Lianne La Havas first began to make music at the age of 7 and since then has gone from strength to strength. Spending time on both sides of the Atlantic working with select producers and playing shows to captivated audiences in London, Paris, and New York.
This year's MTV Brand New Unsigned competition winner, Context has a dubstep & hip-hop infused feel that's bang on the money. Inspired by the low-key Bristol DnB sounds and London based producers like Burial, Context has created his own innovative and groundbreaking sound.
