MTV's Brand New For 2012 Artists Announced!
As 2011 draws to a close, we're delighted to reveal the nine nominees in our annual search for the very best in new music - MTV's Brand New For 2012.
In the last 4 years MTV Brand New has identified international stars such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber & Ke$ha, as well as the cream of UK talent including Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32 and Jessie J.
This year's list features a diverse range of upcoming acts, from across the whole spectrum of musical genres, all of whom we're convinced are destined for big things in 2012. Check out all the artists below.
For the first time ever, this year we're also on the hunt for the UK's best unsigned act to fill the tenth nominee spot.
We asked acts from around the country to submit their best track to us and now it's your chance to vote for your favourite and help them secure a place on the coveted MTV Brand New For 2012 list.
Then on January 9th the action really hots up when the winner of the unsigned competition gets added to the Brand New nominee list and voting opens to crown one lucky act the supreme MTV Brand New winner.
