Sigala Celebrated His No.1 With Craig David & We're All Kinds Of Jealous

Whether it's his Jackson 5-sampling chart-topper 'Easy Love' or the euphoric 'Sweet Lovin'', you WILL have danced to Sigala at some point over the past six months.

The next Brand New For 2016 nominee we're throwing the spotlight on this month, Sigala talks his "mental" 2015, chillin' with Craig David and more collabs he's got in the works...

Back in September, the Norfolk-raised producer's 'ABC'-fueled floor-filler 'Easy Love' went to No.1 in the Official UK Singles Chart and, even before officially nabbing the accolade, he was already in the studio with a garage legend...

"The highlight of the year," he revealed, "has to be listening to the chart run down whilst I was in the studio with Craig David and celebrating it with him."

Craig-effing-David, who as it happens is headlining the first of our Brand New For 2016 showcases in London next week. #Fate.

But what is it about his production that keeps hitting us in all the right places?

"The reason I think people like my music is just because it's positive, happy and I think everyone likes a bit of that in their life," he explained.

"2015 has been mental," he added. "Six months ago I never thought I would be here. The support I've had for my music is unreal. I never really expected the song to do so well, it was just something I've done for fun, so for it to connect with so many people has been amazing, it's been like a dream."

And the dream is set to continue if his plans for the next year are anything to go by: "In 2016 I'm going to focusing mostly on my album and looking at the live side of things, trying to make it bigger and better and looking at festivals. 

"I've been working with DJ Fresh [too] on a little something so keep your ears open."
