Brandon Flowers Lands Killer Blow On Paul Weller In Albums Chart
The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has narrowly pipped Paul Weller to the No 1 spot in the Official UK Albums Chart.
Flowers' second album, The Desired Effect, outsold Weller's Saturns Pattern by just 5,000 copies.
Mumford & Sons' Wilder Mind dropped to No 3 while Taylor Swift stayed at No 4 with 1989.
Sam Smith rounded out the top five with In The Lonely Hour.
Meanwhile, over in the Official UK Singles Chart, there was no change at the top - as OMI enjoyed his fourth week at No 1 with Cheerleader.
Wiz Khalifa edged back up one place to No 2 with See You Again (ft. Charlie Puth), swapping places with LunchMoney Lewis and Bills.
Taylor Swift had a new entry at No 4 with Bad Blood (ft. Kendrick Lamar) and Jack Ü's Where Are Ü Now (ft. Justin Bieber) was at No 5.
