Alesha Dixon Reveals She'll Accept BGT Offer
New judge says she loved her first series and has been asked to return...
The pop star, who defected from Strictly Come Dancing to join BGT this year, enthused about the show in an interview with Look magazine.
She said: "I adored Strictly, but it was time for me to move on and I was so excited about Britain's Got Talent.
"The nation was really behind the show, you could see the chemistry on the panel and every act on that stage was worthy of being there. It felt really special. This year has been amazing for Britain because of the Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee, and BGT felt rejuvenated.
"All of us on the panel were tired and sad it had ended, but it was a genuinely good time. Would I do it again? They've asked me to and I really want to, so yes!"
But the 33-year-old isn't jumping the fence into TV completely - and also let slip that she's been back in the studio working on a music comeback.
She explained: "When Misteeq split I knew I was going to be okay because it was my decision to leave the band. I was always the MC in the group and never really focused on singing. So when I signed to Polydor a year later, I felt free.
"Even though my debut album was never released in Britain, I had an amazing time finding out who I am as an artist.
"I'm back in the studio again now and am excited. I haven't released anything since the beginning of 2011. There'll be a single first, but I'm making an album, too."
We told you this week how a striptease performance on BGT had been cleared by the broadcasting watchdog Ofcom.
