BGT Hopeful Ryan Has Contract With The Voice

He appeared on Irish version of show and had to sign deal...

One of the standout acts on last night's Britain's Got Talent is worried his dreams of stardom could be scuppered because he is under contract to rival show The Voice.
Ryan O'Shaughnessy, 19, from Dublin, took part in the Irish version of The Voice but was knocked out in the first public vote.
"I entered BGT last year but soon afterwards my mum entered me in The Voice,” he told the Sunday Mirror.
"I didn’t know she was going to do it, but we thought, 'what harm can it do'. We had no idea I'd get so far."
He had to sign a three-month contract with Universal, which he is worried could stop him appearing in BGT's later stages.
He said: "I've always wanted to be on BGT so it would be a real blow if I had to leave. It's the better stage."
The song he performed on last night's show was written about a female friend - and he explained that he hadn't told her.
He said: "I still haven’t told her the song is written for her, but she'll know when she sees it. I hope she'll be delighted."
