BGT To Avoid The Voice Clash?

Britain's Got Talent set to move to a new Saturday night slot...

Simon Cowell might have had a stranglehold on talent show TV for some years but it seems the BBC has finally got Mr Nasty running scared.

According to Britain's Got Talent is set to avoid the highly-anticipated head-to-head clash with BBC1's The Voice after losing out in the ratings war.

Both shows launched on the same weekend and have so far gone head-to-head for twenty minutes each week.

But, with [uuid=8673fb10-f85e-4e3a-b7dc-1cf8e087a78e]The Voice pulling in more and more viewers[/uuid] every week, ITV are preparing to shift BGT to a new Saturday night spot.

An insider told The Sun: "ITV now realise the overlap didn't kill The Voice but was in fact in danger of bringing BGT down.

"The BBC had always wanted to avoid a clash or an overlap. It didn't do anybody any favours and was annoying viewers."

The paper reports that the scheduling will remain the same this Saturday, but as of next week, Britain's Got Talent will kick off at 8.30pm, thereby avoiding the clash.
