JANUARY - After pregnancy rumours Britney says on her website: “The last couple of years have been quite a ride for me.” Little did she know it would only get worse the next 12 months.
FEBURARY - The singer decides to shave off all her hair at a hairdressers’ in front of the paparazzi, and attacks a pap’s car with an umbrella.
MARCH - Spears is in and out of rehab all month and according to fellow patients she scrawls 666 on her bald head screaming “I’m the antichrist. I’m a fake!”
APRIL - The popstar fires her manager Larry Rudolph because she was annoyed he sent her to rehab. She is also spotted ranting to photographers about being pregnant!
MAY - Britney plays a surprise show at the House Of Blues in Los Angeles singing, well miming her old hits. She's also spotted back on the booze downing shots till 5am.
JUNE - She cryptically asks fans to help name her new album and gives them some unusual choices like 'Omg is Like Lindsay Lohan Like Okay Like'- suggesting that’s she’s gone mad.
JULY - Reports emerge that Britney had a physical fight with her mum Lynne - one magazine describes it a ‘shocking slapfest.’
AUGUST - The tabloids claim Britney’s Video Music Awards show is gonna be magic- literally. She has a romance with illusionist Criss Angel and the papers claim she wants to disappear and live in London.
SEPTEMBER - Her fateful comeback performance takes place in Las Vegas and is a bit of a disaster! She’s criticised for dancing to comeback track Gimme More and miming. Watch Britney's Performance
OCTOBER – Brit’s two kids are taken away from her and custody given to K-Fed. She is ordered to undergo drug counselling and get parenting lessons.
NOVEMEBER - Yet again the press claims she’s pregnant with the child of record producer J.R Rotem. She denies the report.
DECEMBER - Courtpapers in Britney’s custody battle say investigators are looking into child abuse allegations. Meanwhile her very truthful single Piece Of Me is released
JANUARY 2008 - The pressure finally gets too much and the popstar is restrained after taking her two sons hostage. She is forced into a mental hospital to be evaluated by doctors.
After released she finds love with British paparazzo Adnan Ghalib and apparently adopts a Brummie accent.
At the end of the month Britney is sectioned again. She’s unexpectedly released a week later.
