Bare Britney Causes Outrage

Adverts for a mag cover on which she poses starkers have raised eyebrows on Tokyo subways

A poster of pregnant popstrel Britney Spears posing nude has caused uproar in Tokyo.

The photo appears on adverts for the October issue of Japanese Harper's Bazaar magazine but when Tokyo Metro officials first saw it they werent happy at all saying the image flouted the citys obscenity laws and was too stimulating.

Initially officials sought to have the photo - which first appeared on US Harper's in August - censored, with the bottom half of preggers Britneys body blacked out.

Mag publishers reluctantly agreed to cover Brits tummy and thighs but said in their place they would print the words: We are not allowed to exercise the same level of freedom of expression as the original Harper's Bazaar."

However after a bit of arm-twisting Tokyo Metro has done a u-turn and say they now understand the image is meant to portray a happy-mother-to-be and not be sexually explicit.

So Britney in her full naked glory will beam from the walls of Tokyo subway stations after all. We love a happy ending...
