Finally theres some positive news Britney Spears, as she seems to have impressed audiences with a cameo appearance in the US comedy show How I Met Your Mother.

Being dubbed by media sources as her long awaited comeback it certainly went down better than her performance at last years MTV VMAs.

Britney played a doctors receptionist in the comedy after approaching the shows production team and requesting a light hearted role. Perhaps, if Britney can prove that she is on the road to recovery off screen then she may be able to regain control of her personal life.

At present it looks like this may be some way off, as a challenge to a court ruling that puts Britney Spears' father in control of her assets until mid summer has been rejected by a US appeal court.

The judge said it was not within his powers to grant an appeal, and her father will remain in charge until 31st July.
