Britney Spears is reported to have demanded that she get more money for her first series of The X Factor USA than Jennifer Lopez earned for her debut season on American Idol.
US gossip site TMZ claims that Britney's primary demand when negotiating her $15m (£9.5m) deal to appear as a judge on the talent show was that she got more cash than J Lo.
The website's source says that she started at $20m, with a bottom line of $13m - but eventually settled on $15m.
And TMZ also suggests that as audience figures drop for Idol, J Lo might be faced with a pay cut - and could decide to walk.
