Britney Spears has shocked the world by shaving all her hair off, seemingly in a moment of madness.

The superstar, previously the proud owner of long flowing locks, was said to have checked herself out of a rehab clinic in Antigua on Friday, before flying back to Los Angeles (in economy class!), and turning up at a hairdressers, demanding that they shave her head.

After Esther Tognozzi, owner of the salon, refused to give Spears the buzz cut, the troubled pop sensation apparently grabbed a set of clippers and did it herself, all under the watchful eye of the people of America, thanks to a TV network getting a camera crew down to the salon.

But what about the hair?! Its on eBay of course, along with the clippers and a can of Red Bull that Britney sipped as she shaved.

After the hair debacle, Britney went on to get a tattoo, while fans and paparazzi watched through the window. Some staff at the tattoo parlour described Britney as freaking out, amidst suggestions that Spears is on the verge of a breakdown, but fellow tattooists said nah, she seemed O.K..
