Britney Spears has accepted her manager-turned-boyfriend Jason Trawick's proposal of marriage.
Rumours that Trawick had asked Britney's dad Jamie for permission to propose to the star turned out to be true when he popped the question yesterday on his 40th birthday.
And the happy couple will reportedly be holding a celebratory dinner with friends and family at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas this evening to mark the occasion.
Britters has been to Vegas a few times before of course, most memorably when she wed old pal Jason Alexander there during a weekend of debauchery and later had the marriage annulled.
Anyway, let's not dwell on the past. After their meal, 30-year-old Britney, Jason and their group are expected to move on to a "dance party" at the resort's Chateau nightclub.
Trawick is reported to have presented Britney with a diamond ring featuring a three-carat stone and pave diamonds on the band.
A source told Us Weekly: "He picked out something he knew she would love. He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night."
And Britney confirmed the good news herself on her Twitter feed, saying: "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for.
"Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited! Xxo."
Britney's conservators are reported to have given the marriage their seal of approval.

There has been no mention of a date yet, but let's hope they can resist the lure of Vegas' 24-hour marriage chapels!
