Britney Spears Feels The Love For Giorgio Moroder

Unlikely duo collaborate on track for his new album...

He's the disco music pioneer behind tracks like Donna Summer's I Feel Love and Blondie's Call Me.

She's the pop princess with a resurgent career and a high-profile residency in Las Vegas.

And until now we'd never have put Giorgio Moroder and Britney Spears together - but Britters had other ideas apparently and approached the disco wizard about working together.

The result of their collaboration will be heard on Moroder's forthcoming album 74 Is The New 24, but they're staying tight-lipped on what it actually is for now.

"Britney actually came to me," Moroder told Sony Xperia. "She asked me if I was interested in doing an old song, which obviously I liked and I knew.

"She came to the studio and she did it relatively fast and absolutely gave the track her special touch."

The project will also include vocal contributions from current artists including Charli XCX, Sia, Kylie Minogue, Foxes and Mikky Ekko.

Moroder has enjoyed a career revival in recent years via his work on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories and a remix for Coldplay.

Britney has treated fans to an Instagram video of herself swimming - complete with goggles - in a pink bikini.

Looking impressively trim in the footage, the 33-year-old jokingly captioned it: "Putting in work in preparation for my tryout for the US Synchronized Swimming team. Rio here I come..."
