Britney Spears Says New Album Is 'Not A Priority' As She's Tipped For Super Bowl!
The star has said she wants to make a new LP, but her family comes first for now...
Britney Spears has stated that recording a new album is not her “full priority right now” amid reports she’s tipped to perform at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
During an interview with Billboard, the Hold It Against Me singer explained: “I'm gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely.
"There's a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that.”
She added: “I’m gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it's not my full priority right now."
It is thought that Spears may decide to extend her Britney: Piece Of Me Las Vegas residency until 2017, with her manager Larry Rudolph stating: "Right now we're just concentrating on putting out a few great singles as they come.
“We're not really talking seriously about a new album yet. Albums just aren't as important in the digital age as they used to be. Britney will get to one eventually, but not right now."
Despite plans for a new album being put on hold, the National Enquirer claims that Spears is in talks to take to the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show next February.
An insider told the website: “She's ready to do something massive. She's definitely doing a part in the Super Bowl halftime show next year.
“The details haven't totally been worked out yet, but it will be huge.”

They added that Brit may even ask some of her popstar pals to join her on stage, revealing that Miley Cyrus is a likely collaborator as they share the same management.
Spears is no stranger to the Super Bowl, with the 33-year old joining Aerosmith, 'NSYNC, Nelly and Mary J. Blige on stage to perform in 2001.
