Britney Sues Magazine Over Sex Tape Claims
Singer launches ten million dollar action against Us Weekly...
Britney Spears is suing a magazine over claims she and hubby Kevin Federline made a sex tape.
The princess of pop is suing American celeb mag Us Weekly for $10m, accusing it of inventing a story that she and Kev had made a sex video and were worried it could become public.
The article, in the October issue, claimed that "a member of their entourage had threatened to release raunchy footage of the two". It also reported that the couple showed a copy of the tape to their lawyers and were "acting goofy" while watching it with them.
Britney's legal action states: "There was no laughter, disgust or goofy behaviour while watching the video in the company of lawyers because they did not watch any video, and because there is no such video."
However, a spokesman for the magazine said: "Us Weekly has a credible source, and we stand by our reporting."
