Songwriter Britney Spears[/uuid]’ new track Ooh La La had to be toned down in order to make it more “kid friendly.”
The song features in the new Smurfs 2 movie, but McKee says the tune was “originally pretty sexy.”
She told MTV News US: "I actually came in and was the doctor behind it. A lot of it was already written. It was a great song to begin with.
“They wanted it for the 'Smurfs' movie, and it was originally pretty sexy. I was like, 'OK, how do I take this sex-drenched song and make it Smurfs friendly?'”
Ooh La La features writing and production credits from the likes of Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut, and even has the voice of Smurfette [uuid=219087cf-9a8c-4a09-a015-80cd6321d19e]Katy Perry[/uuid] [uuid=e11f6b82-e43f-43c7-81ab-de44b1283beb]contributing some secret backing vocals[/uuid].
