Britney’s Wedding Annulled

Britney Spears has had her joke wedding to a childhood friend officially annulled.
Spears, who wed Jason Allen Alexander in Las Vegas in the early hours of Saturday morning (January 3), says the marriage was simply "a joke that went too far," and as such filed for " and has been granted - an annulment.
"There are grounds for this court to grant an annulment because plaintiff Spears lacked understanding of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage," the annulment papers said.
A statement from Britney's record label Jive said, "On January 3, Britney Spears and a friend took a joke too far by getting married. Ms Spears and Mr Alexander have filed for an annulment which will become official on Monday, January 5."
Speaking on US TV, Jason Alexander " or 'Britney's ex-husband' " said they just felt like doing something wild. "It was just crazy, man," he said. "We were just looking at each other and said, 'Let's do something wild and crazy. Let's go get married, just for the hell of it'."
According to Vegas reports, the wedding ceremony was filmed and Britney has shown the tape to mates.
The Little White Wedding Chapel, where Spears and Alexander tied the knot " before reportedly "honeymooning" in the luxury suite at the Palms Hotel - has apparently been offered hundreds of thousands of pounds for a copy of the footage.
