According to a report in today's tabloids, a worried Justin Timberlake has zoomed across the States to talk to his famous ex, Britney Spears.

Pals reckon the 'SexyBack' singer could help persuade the troubled star to enter rehab. One friend told the Daily Star, "Justin's just about the only person who Britney will listen to right now. Everyone's hoping he can talk some sense into her."

Meanwhile, rather than keeping a low profile after shaving her head and entering rehab for, like, an hour, Britney has been papped out on the town again. This time in a wig more bizarre than her recent antics.

The troubled popstrel donned the hair piece for a night out at LA's Polo Lounge on Sunday night (February 18) to celebrate a mate's b'day. Apparently, however, it wasn't long 'til she left again.

"Her mood changed when someone put her song 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' on the machine," said an onlooker.

"She ignored pleas to perform and with a face like thunder, she stormed out."

This follows on from eye witness reports of weird behaviour at LA's swanky Mondrian Hotel the night before (February 17), where Britney reportedly turned up in a BLUE wig, tried to rent a room despite appearing drunk and desperate, attempted to hire a car WITHOUT identification and then shaved her legs by the side of the posh hotel's pool.

One spy told Perezhilton.com, "(Britney) was hysterical saying things like, 'Nobody wants me' over and again.' The staff were stunned. she clearly needed medical help but no one knew what to do with her."
