Bruno Mars Charged With Cocaine Possession
Chart-topper could face four years in jail...
Bruno Mars has been charged with cocaine possession after being arrested in Las Vegas last month.
The singer was allegedly found with 2.6 grams of the drug after a performance at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on September 19.
The police report states that Bruno tested positive for cocaine at the time of his arrest but that he was quick to admit his mistake, apparently telling a security guard at the Hard Rock Hotel he "did a foolish thing and has never used drugs before".
The star faces up to four years in jail and a $5,000 fine if convicted. He is due to appear in court on November 18.
Bruno's debut solo hit Just The Way You Are (Amazing) has hit number one on both sides of the Atlantic. On Friday his record label issued a statement referencing his recent highs and lows: "We congratulate Bruno Mars on his chart-topping success, and provide him with our full love and support."
