South Korean superstars BTS made history this weekend, hitting No.1 on the Billboard 200 Chart with their latest album 'Love Yourself: Tear' - the first K-Pop album to ever do so.

According to 'Billboard',the BTS ARMY turned out in their droves to see the LP notch up 135,000 equivalent album unit sales, earning them the top spot this week, beating their personal best (and a previous K-Pop best) from when'Love Yourself: Her' peaked at No.7 last year.

The Billboard 200 Chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the States based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

The seven strong member boy band, who premiered their single ‘Fake Love’ at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month, can also celebrate the knowledge that 'Love Yourself: Tear' is also the first primarily foreign language No.1 in the US for 12 years. The last time that happened was in 2006 when Il Divo dropped 'Ancora'.
