Caitlyn Jenner Attacked For Being "An Insult To Trans Women"

Things got nasty at the protest.

She’s had an incredible week, collecting the award for Transgender Champion at the GLAMOUR Woman of the Year Awards on Monday evening, but yesterday things took a sad turn for Caitlyn Jenner.

The reality TV star was left upset after a group of trans activists targeted her as she left a charity event. The group, who named themselves ‘I Ain’t Cait’, were protesting the “clueless rich white women” currently representing their community, and attacked Caitlyn for being “an insult to trans women”.

They later shared a scathing Facebook postexplaining the reasons behind the protest in more detail, calling out Caitlyn for her cushy lifestyle and pointing out that it disconnects her from the majority of the trans community.

The post attacked her for apparently thinking “disenfranchised trans women of colour should just pluck themselves up off the street and stop being so lazy”.

“She lives in a mansion and has a net worth of millions of dollars, while the average trans person has a 41% chance of experience homelessness”, they raged.

Cait had been speaking at a lunch hosted by a Chicago LGBT charity, and tried to talk to the protesters as she left.

However, it didn’t seem as if she got through to them, as one of the group was later filmed saying “I support her as trans, but I won’t support her as an act of bravery for transitioning in the public eye, while millions are homeless…dead, or dying”.
