Gamers Brave Cold To Buy Call Of Duty: Ghosts
Stores open at midnight to sell latest instalment of COD to eager customers...
Gamers have braved bitterly cold weather while queuing up to buy Call Of Duty: Ghosts on its launch at midnight.
Hundreds of shops across the UK opened at midnight to start selling copies of Activision's 10th instalment in its best-selling first-person shooter franchise.
Kevin Kite, 32, told Sky News that he'd been queuing since 9.30pm to get his hands on a copy.
He said: "I have been playing Call Of Duty for the last 10 years. When I am off work, I play it all the time, about 20-30 hours a week.
"I booked the day off work tomorrow so I can go home and play the new game all night long."
And Activision hosted a red carpet event at the Indig02 in London, where England footballer Daniel Sturridge proved his mettle by triumphing in a multiplayer tournament against Activision staff.
