Not to judge what I'm doin'
Are you high enough?
To excuse that I'm ruined
'Cause I'm ruined
Is it late enough?
For you to come and stay over
'Cause we're free to love
So tease me, hmmm
I make no promises, I can't do golden rings
But I'll give you everything (Tonight)
Magic is in the air, there ain't no science here
So come get your everything (Tonight)
I make no promises, I can't do golden rings
But I'll give you everything (Tonight)
Magic is in the air, there ain't no science here
So come get your everything (Tonight)
Tonight
(You're everything tonight)
Is it loud enough?
'Cause my body is calling for you, calling for you
I need someone, to do the things that I do, hmmm
I'm heating up, energy's taking control
I'm speeding up
My heartbeat's dancing alone
I make no promises, I can't do golden rings
But I'll give you everything (Tonight)
Magic is in the air, there ain't no science here
So come get your everything (Tonight)
I make no promises, I can't do golden rings
But I'll give you everything (Tonight)
Magic is in the air, there ain't no science here
So come get your everything (Tonight)
Tonight
(You're everything tonight)
'Cause I need, your green light
Day and night, say that you're mine
'Cause I need, your green light
Day and night, say that you're mine
Say that you're mine
Say that you're mine
I make no promises, I can't do golden rings
But I'll give you everything (Tonight)
Magic is in the air, there ain't no science here
So come get your everything (Tonight)
I make no promises, I can't do golden rings
But I'll give you everything (Tonight)
Magic is in the air, there ain't no science here
So come get your everything (Tonight)

Directed by Emil Nava, the video takes place in a downtown warehouse converted into a dancing paradise – starring the worlds best Voguers stemming from New York City.
The video celebrates an under-appreciated section of LGBTQ+ culture, opening with interviews with voguers who take part in the video, and comment on what it means to them:
“Growing up in the Bronx, you have to carry this tough skin. Finding vogue - it allowed me to express myself in a way I couldn’t express myself anywhere else.”
For those unaware, voguing is a stylized form of dance and expression, associated with the LGBTQ+ community, which evolved from the Harlem ballroom scene (and thus especially stemmed from African-American and Latino LGBTQ+ groups). It involves dancing with a lot of freezing and pose striking for a camera that isn’t actually there - and is named as such as the poses were derived from covers of Vogue magazine.
Voguing has been in the mass public eye before, both via the music video for Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ in 1990 and too in the successful documentary Paris Is Burning of the same year - and it's amazing to see the culture, and voguers themselves, being celebrated like this again!
As an extra surprise, Canadian fashion model and Vitiligo spokesperson Winnie Harlow also features in the video!
‘Promises' is on the trajectory to be another number one hit for the duo. On last Friday’s chart update it hit No. 2 and on yesterdays update it rose to No. 1! If it holds the position until Friday it'll be Calvin Harris' 10th, and Sam Smith's 7th, UK number one!
There's more good news - Dua Lipa just announced 3 brand-new songs on a Super Deluxe Edition of her debut album!
