Calvin Harris: "Britney Should Retire"
The 'Acceptable In The 80s' dude wouldn't twiddle the knobs on her comeback single for all the tea in China...
He's produced a tune on Kylie's new album but one woman whose comeback Calvin Harris won't be helping out on is Britney Spears'.
The funky Scots musician, whose electro stomper 'Acceptable In The 80s' will be a top ten smash this week, reckons the troubled popstar's career is down the dumper for good.
"I think it's about time she retired gracefully," he told MTV.co.uk. "Surely she can't come back from this? That picture of her (hitting the car with the umbrella) was shocking! I was actually doing a radio interview while flicking through the paper when I saw it and I ended up laughing and having to tell the DJ what was the matter"
He added, "I reckon working with her would be more trouble than it's worth."
However, he did concede super-producer Timbaland, who last week said he'd love to save Brit's career with a little help from JT, could probably get away with it.
"Timbaland is amazing, he can do whatever he wants. He turned Nelly Furtado from hippy singer to a global star so you never know."
Calvin's debut album, 'I Created Disco', produced on a nine-year-old Amiga computer, is out in June. Can't wait!
