Calvin Harris Makes The Faintest Of Digs At Taylor Swift And The 'Bullsh*t' Headlines During GQ Awards Speech
The best DJ in the world is also really quite good at making speeches. So that's nice.
Calvin Harris stopped by the GQ Awards in London last night, where he picked up the award for Solo Artist of the Year.
And while that's lovely news in itself, it was his speech which was the highlight of the evening as he took us all back to a time when he worked at good old M&S.
'I feel at 32 I'm nearing the end. Just kidding,' he joked.
'This week ten years ago was when I left Marks and Spencer Simply food in Clapham South where I carried out such tasks as date-rotating sandwiches and showing old ladies where the salmon got moved to.'
Though he then of course made the tiniest of mentions to his headline hitting break-up from newly single Taylor Swift. Because why wouldn't you.
'I'd like to dedicate this to my manager Mark Gillespie for being a fantastic man. We've been through a lot and discovered a lot this year.
'Whether it be touring or dealing with the endless amount of bullsh*t that's written about people in 2016,' he said, before striding off stage.
YES Calvin. Thanks for making us even more obsessed with you.
