The King of Pop previously held the record after achieving seven top ten hits from his 1987 album, Bad.
Harris took to Twitter to celebrate the milestone, writing: "8 top 10s from my album 18 Months now! So happy!!!"
I'll never dance, sing or be an ultimate musical legend & icon like MJ but he didn't know anything about sidechaining so it all balances out

He then went on to joke that he's the "new MJ" before adding: "!I'll never dance, sing or be an ultimate musical legend & icon like MJ but he didn't know anything about sidechaining so it all balances out."
Calvin's 18 Months album - which has sold over 543,000 copies in the UK since its release last October - boasts of No.1 hits such as Rihanna's We Found Love and Florence Welch tune Sweet Nothing.

Martin Talbot, the Official Charts Company's Managing Director, commented: "Many artists only achieve a handful of hits in their entire careers, so for any act to secure three or four from one album is an excellent achievement.
"In turn, eight Top 10s from one album is not just impressive, it is absolutely remarkable. And, of course, record breaking. Congratulations to Calvin Harris, THE modern day hit-maker."
