Katy Perry Opens Up About Why She Ended Twitter Feud With Calvin Harris

Peace in music world.

In the spirit of a bunch of feuds dissolving into thin air (expect the one involving Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian, obvs)Katy Perry has explained why she decided to call off her spat with Calvin Harris and instead join forces to collab on hit track 'Feels.'

Everyone knows that the singer issued a pretty shady subtweet after she was dragged into the Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris debacle of 2016, but theirinitial fued actually stems from way back in 2011. Who knew?

'Now let's all get checking out an update from MTV News...'

At the time, Calvin was all signed up to perform at Katy Perry's tour dates in the UK & Ireland. Unfortunately, he decided topull out at the last minute over production issues - which led to possibly *the* sassiest announcement from Katy.

"FYI ALL UK & IRELAND RELATED SHOWS @CalvinHarris will NOT be joining in on the fun and has CANCELLED last minute," she wrote.

Calvin responded: "Sorry to all who wanted to see me with Katy – her team suddenly moved the goalposts and I was to appear on stage with no production."

After a bit of heated back and forth that resulted in Calvin issuing an apology for cancelling the dates, the spat seemed to simmer down for a good six years.

In an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the 32-year-old revealed that Calvin approached her at the 2017 Vanity Fair post-Oscars party and floated the idea of a collaboration.

"We’d had little falling outs here and there. We’d had some public Twitter spats … Time to put all that behind us,"she explained.

"We just bumped into each other and he said, “I think I have a song that you should come check out.

"I was like “cool” because we had always meant to work together for years and years and years. I came to the studio and he played me a bunch of unfinished but really solid moments for his new record.

Revealing that she was on board with the idea the second she heard 'Feels', Katy added:"Then he played me this one part for this new song called Feels and I was like, “Oh yeah”.‘This is like my favorite song off the record."

We're just glad these two decided to bury the hatchet once and for all, because a world without 'Feels' blaring out every speaker duringSummer 2017 frankly isn't a world we want to be on.
