The Virgins Live At The Camden Crawl

 

Bringing a little bit of downtown Manhattan with them, The Virgins were the first band to hit MTV’s Roundhouse stage at this year’s Camden Crawl.

 

Striding onto the stage in a fetching denim jacket, bare chest and giant bowtie combo, frontman Donald Cumming may have looked like a waiter at a Status Quo theme restaurant, but had the rockstar moves to back his outfit up.

 

Opening with the almost hit Teen Lovers, the band raced through a set of tracks taken from their self titled debut album, all sharing a poppy mix of the Stones and the Strokes.

 

Recent single Rich Girls saw the crowd really get on board, before the band almost lost them again with an ill advised ballad section.
