Camila Cabello's Incredible Debut Album 'Camila' Is Finally Here
The rising starlet has released one of the strongest debut albums in recent pop memory...
Camilizers, the day has come.
At long last, Camila Cabello's long-awaited solo debut Camila finally arrives today and the 'Havana' superstar exceeds all expectations.
It's a confident, slick collection of island groove bangers and heart-on-her-sleeve confessionals, all of which she pulls off with the self-assurance of an artist five albums deep into their career.
Got your chemicals all in my veins
Feeling all the highs, feeling all the pain
Let go on the wheel, it's the bullet lane
Now I'm seeing red, not thinking straight
Blurring all the lines, you intoxicate me
Just like nicotine, heroin, morphine
Suddenly, I'm a fiend and you're all I need
All I need
Yeah, you're all I need
It's you, babe
And I'm a sucker for the way that you move, babe
And I could try to run, but it would be useless
You're to blame
Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never be the same
It's you, babe
And I'm a sucker for the way that you move, babe
And I could try to run, but it would be useless
You're to blame
Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never, ever, ever be the same
I'll never be the same
I'll never be the same
I'll never be the same
Sneaking in L.A. when the lights are low
Off of one touch, I could overdose
You said, "Stop playing it safe, girl"
"I wanna see you lose control"
Just like nicotine, heroin, morphine
Suddenly, I'm a fiend and you're all I need
All I need
Yeah, you're all I need
It's you, babe
And I'm a sucker for the way that you move, babe
And I could try to run, but it would be useless
You're to blame
Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never be the same
It's you, babe
And I'm a sucker for the way that you move, babe
And I could try to run, but it would be useless
You're to blame
Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never, ever, ever be the same
I'll never be the same
I'll never be the same
I'll never be the same
You're in my blood
You're in my veins
You're in my head (I blame)
You're in my blood
You're in my veins
You're in my head (I'm sayin')
I'm saying it's you, babe
And I'm a sucker for the way that you move, babe
And I could try to run, but it would be useless
You're to blame (You're to blame)
Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never be the same
It's you, babe
And I'm a sucker for the way that you move, babe
And I could try to run, but it would be useless
You're to blame
Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never, ever, ever be the same
From the heartbreaking 'Consequences' to the longing of 'All These Years', Camila is not afraid to express her vulnerability, with the album being pretty much 50/50 between ballads and bangers.
On the bangers front, we are spoiled for choice between the flirtatious 'Inside Out', sensual 'Into It' and the totally lush 'She Loves Control' (Zara Larsson's fave track, FYI), while 'Havana' remains utterly infectious.
Arguably the crowning moment of the album is the gorgeous 'In The Dark', which embraces the electronic pulses she has experimented with previously on songs like 'OMG' and 'Love Incredible'.
Following the unprecedented worldwide success of 'Havana', Camila is set for huge first-week sales and is already breaking records just hours after its release.
The album is currently Number 1 on iTunes in 100 countries, officially breaking the previous record for a debut album. 2018 is Camila's for the taking.
