Captain America: The Winter Soldier Gets First Full Trailer
Iconic superhero adjusts to life in the 21st century as he faces a deadly new foe in Marvel Studios sequel...
Marvel Studios has previewed a two-and-a-half minute trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier online.
The movie studio teased Super Bowl viewers with a 30-second version of the promo during last night's match - but fans had to log on to see the full version.
The second standalone movie for the star-spangled hero picks up the story of Captain Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) adjusting to life in the 21st century after taking a 70-year nap in an ice block.
An alien invasion in The Avengers may have distracted him for a bit, but now Cap is on his own and facing the harsh reality of modern America and all of the ambiguity that comes with protecting it.
Bucky Barnes, Cap's BFF from Brooklyn who took the plunge in The First Avenger, is back as the Winter Soldier, a brainwashed assassin sporting a sniper rifle and a badass mechanical arm - who plays a key role in the new preview.
The new movie sees Cap as a full-fledged member of S.H.I.E.L.D., the government agency that may have a few too many secrets for his liking.
He's joined there by Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who help him find his place in a world that isn't as cut-and-dry as the 1940s were.
He's also got a new friend in Falcon, the winged gun played by Anthony Mackie, who asks Cap how to tell the good guys from the bad.
"If they're shooting at you, they're bad," Captain responds.
The film opens in the UK on March 26.
