Cara Delevingne 'Auditions For Fifty Shades Of Grey'

New reports say the model "is a front-runner for a part"…

Model of the moment Cara Delevingne has reportedly auditioned for a role in the upcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey film.

According to The Sun, Cara tried out for a 'secondary part' in the big screen adaptation of E. L. James' erotic novel.

A source told the tabloid: “Cara is a front-runner for a part. She’s desperate to get the gig and has always said that she wanted to be taken seriously as an actress.

“She loved her small role in Anna Karenina with Keira Knightley last year — so she jumped at the chance to audition.”

The Fifty Shades film will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, the wife of Cara's Anna Karenina co-star and good pal Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The source added: “Cara became close friends with Sam’s husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson when they filmed Anna Karenina together.

"She is a global icon now and a good actress as well and Sam wants her in the movie — though which part exactly hasn’t been established."

In other Cara news, the stunning star celebrated her milestone 21st birthday today, taking to Twitter to thank all her fans for their well-wishes.

She wrote: "Thank you so much for all your birthday messages!!! love you x"
