Cara Delevingne is no stranger to controversy, and the latest snaps she's posted on Instagram look likely to provoke a bit more.

The supermodel has shared a snap of herself toting what looks like a hefty firearm and wearing mirror shades.

But her caption reveals the weapon is a replica, as she writes: "don't mess with a chick with a fake gun".

And it seems she was just mucking about during a visit to Rockstar Games - where she was working on her "radio station" for Grand Theft Auto V.

She explained in a follow-up post: "Back with @rockstargames to update my GTAV radio station Non Stop Pop FM for new versions coming this Fall!"

She even wore a GTA V-themed baseball jacket in two of the pics.
