Cara Delevingne has revealed that she has turned down numerous movie offers that would have involved stripping on screen.

The 21-year-old supermodel - who has never been shy about flashing her flesh on the catwalk - told The Mirror that she'd been deliberately picky about acting roles in order to keep her "morals".

"I already know. If I look at a script and I have to be naked there's just things that I look for that I automatically know if I want to do it or not," she explained.

"I have morals that I want to keep. It's a fine line. If you want to work with a good director and be in a good cast but you have to do certain things you don't want to do, do you cross that line or not?"

And she declared that she hopes to get strong female parts - and wouldn't be averse to the idea of playing a superhero.

"Still today I think there is a lot to be said for women parts, there's a lot more, stronger female parts that can be played, a lot more writing can be done for strong women.

"So maybe a strong female superhero, or just a female that is strong, who hasn't been broken down, or have someone die, or be raped, or go through all of that to become strong.

"To be able to see that would be incredible."

And Cara also admitted that she now prioritises acting above modelling.

"I prefer acting to modelling," she said. "Modelling is where I started and I'll never turn my back on it, I thank it for everything I've done now.

"Without that I wouldn't be here now, but it's not my love, acting is my love."
