Cara Delevingne has been showing off some serious acting skills – and proving that she’s more than just a pretty face – in a new trailer from The Face of an Angel.
The model’s major big-screen debut focuses on the trial of Amanda Knox, who was accused of sexually assaulting and killing British student Meredith Kercher.
Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were convicted of the crime. Knox served four years before being acquitted. However, she was found guilty once again in a retrial.
Running at nearly two-minutes long, the first official trailer from the Michael Winterbottom film was released yesterday (Thursday 5 March).
Kate Beckinsale and Daniel Brühl also star in the gritty psychological thriller, which is inspired by Barbie Latza Nadeau's book Angel Face: Sex, Murder and the Inside Story of Amanda Knox.
Delevingne, 22, plays a British student called Melanie who forges a friendship with a filmmaker (Brühl) who has travelled to Italy to research a film adaptation of the book.
The Face of an Angel will be released in the UK on 27 March.
