#W4Water: Cara Delevingne Joins Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan And More To Support World Water Day 2017

The stars team up for this very important cause.

Water scarcity is unfortunately still not a thing of the past. Today the problem still impacts 700 million people worldwide, taking the lives of more than 2,000 children each day.

Raising awareness of this global crisis has then never been more important, and as today (22nd March) is World Water Day, there’s really no better time to start.

The charity DROP4DROP is teaming up with a variety of celebs and public figures, including the supermodel Cara Delevingne, to lead a social media campaign with the symbol ‘W’ to make the day as far-reaching as possible.

Speaking of the cause, Cara has said “I am proud to support DROP4DROP and their work to help address the World Water Crisis.”

The model, actress and author got inventive with a mirror in her pic, showing off her lion tattoo – double trouble!

Past supporters have included Adele, Lady Gaga, Niall Horan, Ed Sheeran and Beyonce, and importantly, you can get involved too. Simply upload a photo of you making the ‘W’ sign with the hashtag #W4Water to your social media and say what water means to you.

These efforts really do make a difference, too. Last year, the campaign reached over HALF A BILLION people! This kind of mass-awareness helps to push businesses and organisations to partner with DROP4DROP and support their sustainable projects which help to get access to clean water communities around the world– in the last year the group have brought clean water to over 160,000 people in Africa and Asia.

So ‘W’hat are you ‘W’aiting for? Get those ‘W’s in the air.
