Cardi B Wins Big At BET Hip Hop Awards and Performs 'Bodak Yellow'
The 'No Limit' rapper beat out Kendrick Lamar and DJ Khaled for most wins of the night...
2017 belongs to Cardi B.
The rap queen on everybody's playlist took to the stage at BET's Hip Hop Awards last night not only to perform but to collect an astonishing five awards.
Cardi stole the show as she won the most awards of the night, including Single of the Year for her record-breaking U.S. number one single 'Bodak Yellow' and 'Best Mixtape' for Gangsta Bitch Music: Vol 2.
YES! Cardi B - a female rapper and newcomer - won more awards than rap elite like Kendrick Lamar and DJ Khaled. It's truly incredible.
She won Best New Hip Hop Artist, Made-You-Look Award (fka Best Hip Hop Style) and Hustler of the Year. Well, we couldn't agree more with that!
The 'Lick' rapper took to the stage to perform 'Bodak Yellow', which is spending its third week at the top of the U.S. charts this week, and it was absolutely nuts.
Cardi's outfit was phenomenal, her energy was as fierce as ever and the crowd was clearly hyped with anticipation because as soon as she started the song it went OFF.
Elsewhere, Kendrick Lamar won four awards and DJ Khaled followed with three wins, including Best Collab for 'Wild Thoughts' with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.
Besides Cardi's amazing performance, Eminem stole the show as he returned with a fiery anti-Trump freestyle that has the internet going wild today.
The Hip Hop Awards premieres this Friday (Oct. 13) in the UK on BET at 9pm - don't miss it!
