Happy Birthday Nev! Brand New Catfish Episodes Start Tonight With Shocking Katy Perry Twist
We're celebrating the Catfish host's birthday with this crazy story. There's gonna be fireworks...
If you're feeling, well, bleugh (because it's Monday - and you generally just NEED another day of the weekend) - then here are two reasons to celebrate.
First - MTV's Catfish:The TV Show host Nev Schulman turns 32 today. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEV!
Second - the internet's best dating detectives Nev and Max are back with a, errr, "Roar" for a brand episodes of Catfish, starting tonight. YASSS.
And things are kicking things off with the unbelievable story of Spencer Morrill, who reckons he's been in an online relationship with Dark Horse singer Katy Perry for SIX YEARS.
Finally, the Catfish episode that hit headlines earlier this year lands on UK screens, as Nev and Max actually take a trip to our bonny isle to uncover whether Spencer has been talking to pop star Katy at all.
Did we mention the loved-up lad spent "25 percent of his savings" on an engagement ring for the US songstress? No words.
Watch an extended preview of the explosive episode HERE:
SPOILER ALERT: Spencer has not been talking to Katy Perry. But who's behind the online romance he thinks he's been in all this time?
Asked about the episode on a US radio show she did earlier this year, Katy said she was aware of the Catfish story, but not all the details. She said the whole thing actually just made her feel really sad.
She told SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up: "You know, like, my heart goes out to him (Spencer) actually, because anybody that’s been fooled like that or just, you know, people have dreams, and people live in different parts of the world where not everything is always so accessible.
We get stuff in a way that some other people don’t get, and I feel bad for him, and so I didn’t really like to indulge in that, because my heart … I empathize," she added.
We need 10pm to be here already.
