12 TV Co-Stars Who Had Major Long Running Feuds
Imagine working together 15 hours a day pretending to be BFFs. Grim...
After reports that singer Alexandra Burke was having ‘screaming matches’ with her Strictly Come Dancing co-star Gorka Marquez, all we could think of is: how can you spend that much time with someone you can’t deal with? Well, tbh we can’t stand the majority of people in life, apart from people that give us presents, so poor us.
But then we realised some TV stars spent TEN YEARS with working with people they hate, and then we didn’t feel so bad about life…

1. Desperate Housewives’ Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross
They may have played BFFs on the show but rumour had it that the rest of the girls were not a fan of Teri. Eva Longoria even described her as ‘the loner’ on the cast. But apparently it was Marcia Cross that had the most run-ins with her. Cross ‘lost it’ on the set of a Vanity Fair shoot when Teri was put at the front and centre. Writer Ned Zeman, who witnessed it, said: "ABC publicity demanded that, in all the different set-ups that the women would be posed for photographs, Teri Hatcher absolutely was not to be in the centre of the women. There had been some tension on the set over who's getting the awards and who's getting most of the magazine covers - that would be Teri Hatcher. [Marcia] screamed [the publicist's] name and said, in essence, 'I want you to get over here and do your bleeping job...' Then she launched into this profanity-laced tirade. Teri was most visibly upset and got very emotional and was tearing up and was on her cell phone seeking comfort from someone." Eva added: "They forget we just shot a 16-hour day the day before and when someone's tweaking every little hair, it's like, 'Stop touching us, just shoot the picture.'"
2. Glee’s Naya Rivera and Lea Michele
The Glee co-stars had a long-running beef that eventually, reportedly, got Naya kicked off the show. There were alleged fights on set and being the star, Lea complained to creator Ryan Murphy and the next season, Naya was demoted to just a guest part. Yikes.
3. Sex and the City’s Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall
Possibly one of the all time most famous co-star feuds is Sarah Jessica and Kim. After rumours of fighting during the show, the following films were filled with drama after Kim learned that SJ learned more than the rest of the cast. She told Marie Claire that “sometimes feelings get hurt.”
4. American Idol’s Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey
The two singers did not get on when they joined the show in 2013 and it got so bad that Nicki labelled Mariah a “bitter, insecure woman” and Mariah compared her time on the show to “working in hell with Satan.” OH DEAR.
5. Victorious’ Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice
It was well-known that the pair didn’t get along on set but they brought their beef into the public when Ari threw shade at Victoria for not doing a cast tour. She replied to a fan, writing: "Sweetheart the only reason Victorious ended is because 1 girl didn't want to do it. She chose to do a solo tour instead of a cast tour. If we had done a cast tour Nickelodeon would have ordered another season of Victorious while Sam and Cat filmed simultaneously but she chose otherwise." Victoria responded on Twitter: "Some people would throw some1 they consider a friend under the bus just 2 make themselves look good. #StopBeingAPhony #IfTheyOnlyKnew".
6. The Hills’ Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge
We all know about LC and Heidi Montag’s epic falling out but not many people knew that after a while she didn’t really get on with Audrina either. Fans saw the pair fall out and try to re-build their friendship on the show but Audrina admitted that they had another bust-up off camera. She told Celebuzz: “I don’t really talk to Lauren or see her at all. I think there was a little of a falling out [between us]. We kind of went our separate ways. The show brought us together and without that show, we all kind of go back to our own thing.”
7. Ugly Betty’ Lindsay Lohan and America Ferrera
Li-Lo was supposed to have a six episode arc on Ugly Betty but cut her eps down to four after she clashed with America. One production source said, "It was a mess. Lindsay would show up every day with an entourage of people. She smoked 24/7, and after she left, they had to repaint her dressing room it was such a mess. She would obsessively cut pictures of herself out of the tabloids like she was creating some sort of scrapbook and refused to go on set until America was there - it was a power play."
One episode, titled "Granny Pants," showed Lindsay playing Betty's high school nemesis, and she was supposed to pull down America’s trousers. But America pulled down Lindsay’s instead and a source claimed that she wasn’t wearing any underwear. But a Lindsay source claimed: "Bullsh*t! Lindsay wears underwear all the time now. She was wearing a G-string. And it was America's fault. They were rehearsing the scene and America wasn't supposed to pull Lindsay's pants down - but she did. Lindsay was so embarrassed, she started crying."
8. Sam and Cat’s Ariana Grande and Jennette Macarthy
The two on screen besties were not so close off set as even Jennette admitted that they “butted heads” from time to time. But the confirmation that their friendship was non-existent was when Jennette’s YouTube series debuted an episode that showed an awful character called Gloriana who annoyed the hell out of Jennette. Erm…
9. Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson and Marty McKenna
We’ve all seen the numerous fights between the Newcastle stars, especially during Marnie’s relationship with Aaron Chalmers. The whole beef started after Marnie’s BFF Chloe Ferry and Marty began a rocky relationship and went south when Marty got involved in her relationship with Aaron. Yikes.
10. Gilmore Girls’ Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson
GUTTED. The GG co-stars may have ended up together on the show (and if that’s a spoiler – where have you been?) but IRL they were not the best of mates. When asked by TV Guide of the pair were besties, Lauren replied with a firm: “No.” Ah.
11. Grey’s Anatomy’s Patrick Dempsey and Isiah Washington
The Grey’s Anatomy stars beef got so bad that they actually had a physical fight on set, with Isiah assaulting McDreamy. Patrick got into an argument with the actor after he threw gay slurs at fellow star T R Knight, who played George. Not cool.
12. Strictly Come Dancing’s Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez
Even though the two had begun the series getting on well they have now had a reported falling out. Alex is thought to be ‘furious’ about her dance partner dating her competitor Gemma Atkinson and the pair have had a ‘full-blown screaming match”.
