5SOS Replace Fire Pyro With Confetti After Michael Clifford’s Accident Because Safety Is Sexy

Confetti trumps fire, people.

After a really quite terrifying incident during their second Wembley Arena show on Saturday (June 13), which left Michael Clifford with first-degree burns after his hair caught alight on a fire pyro, nobody was taking any chances with 5 Seconds Of Summer’s safety.

And 5SOS’ following Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour date, which incredibly went ahead despite Michael’s injuries, had one very big difference – they replaced the dangerous flames with a butt load of confetti, and it made everyone very happy.

Fans were quick to tweet pictures of the fancy changes to 5SOS’ set, which completely replaced the fire that nearly caused our favourite punk rock lads some serious problems.

Clearly relieved that the flaming pyros had been ditched, everyone at Wembley was feeling some serious love thanks to approximately 4,000 confetti cannons covering them with paper bits of joy.

Safety is sexy, guys.

Wouldn’t want to be the one having to clean all that up though, would you?
