CHECK OUT THE SUPER FAMOUS FOLK WHO DARED TO DATE A CIVILIAN BELOW...
1. Twilight’s Nikki Reed and Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder
After being friends for years when Ian was dating his co-star Nina Dobrev, the pair got together in 2014 the year after Nina and Ian broke up. Four months after they started dating the couple got engaged and then married in the same year. They’re now expecting their first child. We wonder what Stefan thinks?
2. Home Alone’s Macaulay Culkin and The Suite Life’s Brenda Song
Whaaaat? The pair were spotted recently at Instagram's Knott's Scary Farm celebrity night in LA, holding hands, on a double date with Buffy The Vampire Slayer’s Seth Green and his wife. So random but so amazing.
3. The OC’s Adam Brody and Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester
Angels sang and trumpets played when Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf started dating. It was like our American teen show dreams came true in the purest way. They have never actually spoken about how they met but they did both star in the 2011 film The Oranges and tied the knot in 2014, having their first child the year after. We like to think they met, Leighton made a joke about how to pronounce Tijuana, Adam said he wanted to have sex with her in a limo and they fell madly in love. And the fact that they didn’t call their daughter Summer Blair is a TRAVESTY.
4. Shake It Up’s Bella Thorne and Wizards Of Waverly Place’s Gregg Sulkin
We will never not be wishing these two get back together. Enough of this 'we’re best mates who are exes' stuff. Blah. The ex-couple dated for a year in 2015/16 before splitting in a super friendly way and she moved on to date his mate Tyler Posey. Seems to be a trend on this list tbh. Moral of the story, don't have fit mates.
5. Gilmore Girl’s Alexis Beldel and Angel’s Vincent Kartheiser
The couple met after Alexis starred in Mad Men for a few episodes alongside Vincent in 2012 and started dating soon after. The following year they got engaged and in 2014 got married in a small secret ceremony. They were also super secretive when she gave birth in 2015, keeping out of the spotlight until after she had their son in 2016. That is quite the consecutive timeline.
6. The Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson and High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens
When Josh and Vanessa were promoting their film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, an Australian news show asked them how long they had been dating. The couple looked awkward as Josh admitted: “We’re not… No. We were at one point, but she broke my heart. I’m just kidding. That was a while ago, we’re just really good friends now.” We’re guessing it was in 2011 around the time they started filming the movie. Amazing.

7. The Hunger Games’ Liam Hemsworth and Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus
Oh Liley. After BREAKING our hearts when they called off their engagement in 2013, the got back together and righted the world in 2016. They originally met on the set of The Last Song in 2009 before getting engaged in 2012 but splitting after rumours flew of Miley cheating on Liam with Ed Westwick (which she denied), Miley being seen without her ring and tweeting about ‘LA lies’. But it’s all fine now and we love them, yay.
8. Lizzy McGuire’s Hilary Duff and Even Stevens’ Shia Labeouf
The mash-up of two Disney Channel classics. Seriously, can we take a moment to mourn the loss of these shows? These two didn’t have a full-blown love affair but they did go on a date which turned out to be a total disaster, according to Shia. He told Details magazine: “(It was) probably the worst date either of us has ever had.” Lol.
9. Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and Family Guy’s Seth Macfarlane
WTF? Who knew? The Khaleesi of our hearts Emilia dated the mastermind behind Peter Griffin and fam back in 2012 for a year but split due to the long distance nature of their love. Booo. We heart this a lot.
10. 13 Reasons Why’s Dylan Minnette and Brothers and Sister’s Kerris Dorsey
This is too much. And also we miss Brothers and Sisters. Oh and also 13 Reasons Why needs to hurry up and come back, like now. The couple have been dating for two years after meeting on the set of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. We love EVERYTHING about this. We’ll even stop shipping Clay and Hannah for one second. But just one.
11. High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens and The Carrie Diaries’ Austin Butler
First of all the fact that The Carrie Diaries got cancelled is CRIMINAL. But the fact that it gave us Austin is just beyond. It’s a little unclear how they met but we do know that they were both on the set of HSM because Austin gave interviews about having been there as an extra. Plus he starred in Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure after with Vanessa’s bestie Ashley Tisdale so it also could have been through her. However they met they’ve been dating since 2011 and can they just get married already?
12. Game Of Throne’s Sophie Turner and The Jonas Brothers' Joe Jonas
Possibly one of our all-time fave couples of the moment. According to sources they met through a mutual friend in 2016 and have been inseparable ever since. Good for Sansa, she really hasn’t had the best luck in love eh?
13. Game Of Throne’s Richard Madden and Doctor Who’s Jenna Coleman
After starting to date in 2011 before they both got their big acting breaks, the couple had a four year relationship, parting ways in 2015. Apparently they couldn’t make it work due to their busy schedules. Well, they both are mega stars.
14. Shake It Up’s Bella Thorne and Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey
After breaking our souls and splitting from Gregg Sulkin, Bella started dating his friend Tyler after being friends for years. Weirdly, rumours had flown that they were an item a few months before she and Gregg had made it official. Confusing much? They split amid rumours that he thought she was too clingy but she tweeted that she needed space. *shrugs*
