It’s always shocking AF when our fave reality stars leave a show and normally it’s because they wanted to ‘focus on other things’ or their ‘time has come to an end’. But sometimes they give us reasons that make us go WTF?

From being too hungry to falling out with an entire family, these are the craziest reasons reality stars have ever picked up their bags and waved goodbye...

ITV2 / Love Island

There was a whole bunch of rumours flying when Niall picked up and mysteriously left Love Island, including that he was insecure about his looks and that he couldn't deal with public's opinion on him. But it turns out that he left the show so he could finally publicly acknowledge that he dealt with Asperger's Sydrome, a type of Austism. He bravely shared and Instagram post revealing he would continue to campaign for awareness.

2. Jack Maynard: Anti-gay and racist tweets

Just three days into his jungle stay, Jack shocked the world by announcing he was leaving I'm A Celeb in 2017. It had come out that the YouTuber had posted some anti-gay and racist slurs on his Twitter in 2012 and 2013. He left the show and apologised to the public.

In one of the best and more legit reasons to ever bail from a reality show, the GC left I’m A Celeb because she was hungry. She later told This Morning: “I was starving! I’m a plus size girl, I went from everything to 500 calories a day, and that did affect me.” Obsessed.

After Megan strolled onto the TOWIE scene, she was riding high with her country music career taking off and a well loved-up relationship with Pete Wicks. But it all went a different kind of Pete when the pair split amongst some blazing rows on the streets of Essex. They tried to make it work but Meg couldn’t repair the relationship with the pirate or the rest of her cast mates and headed for the door.

5. Gaz Beadle: became a dad

Geordie Shore OG Gaz flipped the Geordie house upside down when he announced he was leaving the show for good to focus on being a dad to newly born Chester. Tbh it would have been surprising if he hadn’t waved goodbye but also a Geordie Shore member swapping vodka for milk and peeing the bed for pee-soaked nappies? The world doesn’t seem real.

6. Francis Boulle: to hunt for diamonds

E4

In a classic Made In Chelsea reason for ditching the show, Francis decided his time was better spent doing actual work. And his actual work turned out to be hunting for diamonds. Eh? In fact his LinkedIn profile describes him as a Diamond and Precious Metals consultant. He still pops up on the show time to time to inject some random AF humour.

7. Caitlyn Jenner: fell out with entire family

After announcing she was transitioning, the whole Kardashian family got behind Cait to support her in her journey. But one by one she fell out with the entire klan. She was accused of lying about Kris Jenner in her book, hurt Khloe Kardashian by not being upfront about her transition and annoyed Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner by slating Kris. Since then, she’s not been seen on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

8. Ollie Locke: to start a dating app

Ollie has left Made In Chelsea twice, like the true king he is. The first time he wanted to explore his bisexuality off camera and since coming out as gay, he returned to the posh playground but then left us AGAIN to focus on his, now very successful, gay dating app called Chappy. Boss AF.

9. Spencer Matthews: To tackle a steroid addiction

After leaving MIC, Spenny popped up in the I’m A Celeb jungle in 2015 where he made headlines for being flirty with Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison. But days later he was out, admitting that he had chosen to get help for his steroid addiction. He said: “It was completely out of vanity. I just wanted to look good in the shower. I wasn’t thinking properly and made a mistake. I took some pills to enhance my training.”
