1. Kanye West and Jay-Z
The ultimate bromance came to a screeching halt when the two rappers had a few awkward moments. Apparently it started after the infamous 2009 VMAs when Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift’s speech to say Beyoncé should have won, embarrassing Bey and annoying Jay. Then the couple failed to attend Kim Kardashian and Kanye’s wedding in 2011, amid rumours that Beyoncé thought Kim wasn’t good enough to be friends with them.
Then, after Kim’s 2016 Paris robbery, Yeezus ranted on stage that Jay Z hadn’t come to see them but instead had called to see if he was okay. He said: “Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘how you feelin?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house. Like we’re brothers. Let’s sit down." Jay has since done an interview claiming the pair will always be brothers telling The New York Times: "I [talked to] Kanye the other day, just to tell him, like, he's my brother. I love Kanye. I do. It's a complicated relationship with us.”
2. Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez
Back in the days of Demi and Selena acting, they were the best of friends. But in 2010 the pair seemed to have hit a rough patch when a fan asked Demi how Selena was and she replied “Ask Taylor [Swift]”. Later in the year when Demi checked into rehab, they made up and Demi described her as one of the most supportive people at the time. At the 2011 VMAS it looked like they had fallen out again but they reconnected in 2013, tweeting their love for each other. In 2014, Demi told Andy Cohen that they had grown apart but then in 2015 they were back posing for Instagrams with each other. SO CONFUSING.
3. Chloe Sims and Lauren Pope
The TOWIE friends have had a rocky old time of it, falling out when Chloe started seeing Mario Falcone after he had split from Lauren. The pair had massive beef and Lauren left the show. The appeared to try and make-up a few times on camera but couldn’t get past their anger. Finally, in 2017, they had made up for good but then in November, Gemma Collins posted a video which looked like Chloe Sims kissing another one of Lauren’s exes Dan Edgar. She denied it, saying she was furious at Gemma and didn’t want Lauren to think that was what had happened. YIKES.
4. Rihanna and Katy Perry
After describing each other as best friends, the pair have slowly grown apart and haven’t been pictured together in over a year. Rihanna even took a dig at Katy recently after being asked if she would join her on the American Idol panel: "I don’t know, it depends on how bored I am.” Ouch.
5. Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews
The Made In Chelsea BFFs have fallen out multiple times and let’s face it it’s always been down to girls. The pair infamously fought over Louise Thompson with Spencer even stealing her from them when the gang were all in Dubai. Awks.
6. Taylor Swift and Kanye West
After their 2009 VMAs beef, Kanye apologised to Taylor and the pair made up with him sending her flowers and the new friends hugging at award ceremonies for all to see. But then 2016 rolled around. After Kanye released Famous, Taylor Swift ranted about the lyric: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ I made that b*tch famous”. Kanye insisted she’d approved them but Taylor claimed she had never heard them. Cue Kim Kardashian releasing a video of Kanye telling her about them via the phone. Taylor shot back that it was the use of the word ‘b*tch’ she took offense to and the pair cut ties. Then Taylor released Reputation, full of songs slamming the couple. We can’t see this being resolved tbh.
7. Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner
In 2016 CaKe were thick as some super hot thieves but then rumours started that Cara wasn’t happy with Kendall’s mum Kris Jenner trying to trademark ‘CaKe by Kendall and Cara’ saying that her name should be first. The pair stopped being seen together until 2017 when they left a Vogue party arm in arm so we’re hoping they’ve made up.
8. Scott Timlin and Marty McKenna
Of all the friendship fights in Geordie Shore, Scott and Marty are sure to have had the most. The pair have got into multiple physical beefs after they’ve been caught talking behind each other’s back on more than one occasion. They were most recently asked to leave the Geordie Shore house after a huge bust-up over Scott flirting with Marnie Simpson.
9. Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé Knowles
No one has ever really been sure of the state of Kim and Bey’s friendship and it seems like a hella confusing one. While it was thought that Kim was eager to make friends with the singer and the women and their husbands were pictures out together, rumours started that Beyoncé did not want to be her mate and even told Jay-Z they wouldn’t be making Kim’s wedding to his BFF Kanye West. But recently it is thought that Kanye and Kim attended Blue Ivy’s fifth birthday so perhaps the two are on more friendly terms again.
