We're surprised they didn't get a slap...
If there is one thing we love to do, it’s sit on YouTube and watch endless hours of celebrity interviews. From old to new, funny to emosh, we can’t get enough.
But dotted through these gems of footage there are always those incredible awkward moments when an interviewer asks or says something super rude. After we get over our full body cringe, we hit play and watch the celeb shut it dooooown...
BUT FIRST CHECK OUT THE MOST RUTHLESS REALITY TV VILLIANS...
1. Cara Delevingne: “Take a little nap and maybe get a Red bull”
In one of the most awkward interviews of all time, interviewers from Good Day Sacramento were supposed to be talking to Cara about Paper Towns but instead would not stop commenting on how tired and grumpy she seemed. At one point one of them even said: “Take a little nap and maybe get a Red Bull.” Cara was understandably peeved.
2. The Kardashians: “You have no talent”
It all got very uncomfortable when legendary journalist Bara Walter interviewed the Kardashians and told them: ‘You are all often described as famous for being famous. You don’t really act, you don’t sing, you don’t dance. You don’t have any talent.” Kim swiftly shut it down saying there was more pressure to make America fall in love with them for just being themselves.
3. Paris Hilton: “Do you ever worry about your moment having passed?”
When Paris Hilton first hit the scene she was the ‘it girl’ everyone was talking about. Her show The Simple Life with Nicole Richie made the girls mega famous on the celeb scene and the world was at their 2000s feet. So in 2011 when an interviewer asked Paris if she was afraid her time in the spotlight was up, she was not impressed. YIKES.
4. Taylor Swift: “You’re going to go home with lots of men”
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the 2015 Grammy’s, the presenter told Taylor: “You’re gonna walk home with more that just a trophy tonight. I think lots of men.” Tay was annoyed by the sexist remark and informed her she would be hanging out with her friends and her cats, not “lots of men”.
5. Justin Timberlake
During an interview for Friends With Benefits, a reporter asked Justin why he was doing movies. Because he needed a translator, he took a minute but Mila Kunis jumped in asking ‘What else would you have him do?” Shut down.
6. Scarlett Johansson: “Were you able to wear underwear under your costume?"
In an interview with Extra TV, Scarlett was asked if she was wearing underwear under her Black Widow costume in The Avengers. She shot back with ‘When did it become acceptable to ask people about their underwear.” FAIR.
7. Lauren Conrad: “What’s your favourite sex position?"
Sirius XM’s radio host Sway asked The Hills' Lauren a totally inappropriate question about her favourite position. As in the sex kind. In the best answer ever uttered she replied: “CEO”. YESSSSS.
8. Lady Gaga: “Are you scared that you’re sexual references undermine your music?”
When Lady Gaga was asked if she thought the sexual references in her songs took away from the music, it did not sit well. She replied: “You see, if I was a guy and I was sitting here with a cigarette in my hands grabbing my crotch talking about how I make music because I like fast cars and f*cking girls, you’d call me a rockstar. But when I do it in my music and videos because I’m female and I make pop music, you’re judgemental and say it’s distracting. I’m just a rockstar.”
9. Serena Williams: “Why are you not smiling?”
During a US Open press conference, a journalist asked Serena why she wasn’t smiling and seemed annoyed. Not sure with what smiling had to do with tennis, she replied: “To be perfectly honest with you, I don’t want to be here .” LOL.
