Lady Gaga stepped out wearing just her underwear for an appearance at the 'Songwriters Hall Of Fame 46th Annual Induction and Awards' in New York last night (June 18) because why the hell not!

Mother Monster arrived at the bash wearing a latex bra - which came with peek-a-boo holes for her nipples - fishnet tights and a red blazer, completing her look with a pair ofplatform shoes.

She later performed in the racy outfit, but did manage to cover-up in a white-and-black striped suite (think Beetlejuice) and a Elvis Presley T-shirt when accepting the first ever Contemporary Award at the bash.

After receiving her gong from 'Cheek To Cheek'collaborator Tony Bennett, Gaga took to Instagram to share a snap of herself with her trophy, writing: “Thank you so much for the Songwriters Hall Of Fame Contemporary Icon Award. What a trip. Feels like a lifetime.”

The 29-year old - who is engaged to actor Taylor Kinney - also flashed the flesh on the image-sharing website earlier this week, showing off her impressive bikini body on a beach.

She wrote alongside the sexy snap: “Work hard, play hard. Work hard again, play harder.”

Sounds like a good motto to us, Lady G!
