Wait a minute, is Niall Horan single or not? Well it looks as though he just might be after splitting with Sydney student Melissa Whitelaw recently.

"Niall and Melissa did well to keep their romance low-profile during their time together. They were really close and had fun whenever they went out together," a source told the Sun.

"But realistically they always knew it was going to be tough, keeping a relationship going with such distance between them."

Melissa and Niall were first linked back in February when fans spotted the two kissing in Melbourne, and it's thought she visited the 1D singer in London a few months later in April.

"OMG Niall Horan and Melissa," one fan wrote on Twitter. "They were seen in a casino, they kissed. And he held her by the waist and playing with her hair."

But don't go planning your outfit to 'accidentally' bump into Niall just yet, for it seems there is already a new lady on the scene. And it's not Jade Thirwall!

Matilde, Jose Mourinho's daughter, looks to be very much on Niall's radar after being spotted on a night out with him recently.

A source told the Mirror: “Niall and Matilde have known each other for a while, but they’ve been spending more time together recently while he’s in London on a break from his world tour."

“Niall is friends with Jose, and is a real football fan, as is Matilde, so they get on really well.”

Alas, a spokesperson for Niall told the paper: "They are just friends.”
