Exciting news' Gossip Girl 'and 'The OC' fans, Leighton Meester is reportedly expecting her first child with hubby, Adam Brody.

According to Pop Sugar, the 29-year old actress was spotted showing off what looked like a blossoming baby bump while out on a lunch date with Adam in LA.

The website claims that Meester was wearing a tight-fitting grey T-shirt which proudly displayed her bump, with the couple ‘all smiles’ as they headed to their car.

While the pair are yet to officially comment on the speculation, a source close to Leighton and 'The OC' actor confirmed that they were to be parents to Us Weekly.

Adam - who married Meester in February 2014 - previously joked last August that he’d love a big family, telling Reddit AMA: “I say twelve. And I decide.”

Leighton herself also admitted during an interview with Nylon magazine that she was ready to have kids, stating: “Most people I know are starting to get married. It'll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I've got dogs.

"I started [Gossip Girl] when I was so young. And once it was over, I wanted to do things that were exciting and challenging and more me - more my adult taste."

And, Meester can count on her former 'Gossip Girl' co-star Blake Lively for parenting advice, with the actress welcoming her first child, daughter James,with Ryan Reynolds last December.
